We are proud to be the first EU eco - label certified hotel in the Czech Republic. This was not particulaly easy to achieve as we had to make many changes to the way the hotel was run.
Some EU eco-label requirements
- Staff training according to our green policy and action program.
- Water flow doesn't exceed 12 litres per minute.
- Urinals flush only when they have been used.
- Refillable soap dispensers.
- Srict reporting of leaks.
- Towels and sheets washed on demand.
- Limiting the use of strong chemical disinfectants.
- Waste seperation: plastics, paper, glass and organic waste.
- Hazardous waste (inks, toners, batteries etc) disposed of appropriately.
- Disposable products are kept to a minimum.
- Thermal insulation added to all windows.
- No air-conditioning system.
- Hallway lights are movement activated.
- Energy efficient light bulbs
- Individually regulated radiators.
- Use of Eco-label detergents and chemicals if possible.
- No disposable drinks cans.
- Used textiles and furniture are given to charity.
- Food from local suppliers sourced when possible.
